Agnieszka Marciniak-Kostrzewa at Impact’25 on creating value in real estate investments

Originally from Poznan, she started her professional path on the Iberian Peninsula in 1995. She first dealt with tourist properties and then became an agent for the sale of houses and flats.

For more than 18 years, Agnieszka Marciniak-Kostrzewa has been running Agnes Inversiones – the largest, oldest and most recognisable Polish real estate office on the Sunshine Coast – Costa del Sol. During Impact’25, she talked about the great importance of geographic diversification of assets and what is crucial when investing in real estate.

Poles with another record in Spain

The discussion at Impact’25 about investing in strategic assets coincided with the publication of the latest data from the Spanish market. According to Registradores de España, from January to March 2025 alone. Poles purchased almost 1,000 flats and houses in Spain, nearly 25% more than during the same period in 2024. – In just over four years, i.e. since the beginning of 2021, the number of properties on the Iberian Peninsula purchased by our compatriots has already reached almost 12,500 , comments Agnieszka Marciniak-Kostrzewa. It was exactly 12,447, and in 2021-24 each of the annual results was another record.

The leading position among all 17 autonomous communities in Spain is maintained by Andalusia – with almost 20% of property purchases nationwide. 998 of these were made by Poles – with a market share of 3.9 per cent, placing them ninth in the ranking of foreign buyers. Our compatriots are increasingly choosing the Iberian Peninsula not only as a holiday home, but as a destination – including the Costa del Sol. Located in Andalusia, this cosmopolitan region with a unique climate is famous for golf – hence the nickname Costa del Golf.

At Impact’25 on investing in real estate

During Impact’25 – the largest and most prestigious business event in Poland – Agnieszka Marciniak-Kostrzewa participated in the discussion „From cities to precious metals – how we invest in a world of digital transformation”, discussing, among other things, whether the attractiveness of real estate today is more a matter of address or technological and energy infrastructure.

In an age of digital transformation and almost universal investment in virtual assets – cryptocurrencies or AI – real estate in top locations is still the best investment to maintain value and increase it. That’s why they belong in every portfolio, while allowing you to geographically diversify your wealth during an uncertain period of war in Ukraine.

    – We live in times of dynamic change – technological, geopolitical and climatic. Investing has become not only a search for profit, but also a way of creating a sense of security. The Costa del Sol is an example of an investment that combines precisely this security, functionality and profit potential. The stability of the market, the huge tourist interest or the climate with more than 300 days of sunshine a year, make this region one of the most attractive in Europe. A property in such a location not only retains its value. It simply creates it ,” says Agnieszka Marciniak-Kostrzewa.

Many of the new developments, also in this region, are being designed as 'nearly zero-energy buildings’ – with their own PV panels, energy storage or recuperation and passive cooling systems. From the investors’ point of view, such properties further benefit as they achieve higher rental rates and provide lower maintenance costs due to the increased standard.
