The counting of the funds raised and the auctions are still underway, but the emotions of the 34th Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will stay in our hearts for a long time. It has become a tradition on the Costa del Sol, and the more than 1,000 participants – Polish and Spanish communities – once again showed their big hearts.
A new sporting highlight was the 34-kilometre run for the 34th GOCC Finale, in which Polish runners also took part. At 1 p.m., the fun began together – a flamenco show, folk attractions and face painting for children, Mago Mota and… a levitating table, a photo booth, Polish dishes, salsa, zumba, performances by Coro Gospel Fuengirola and POP FM and, of course, a light to the sky at 8 p.m.
More than 1,000 participants from Poland and Spain took part in the GOCC finale on the Sunshine Coast, combining joint fun with a worthy cause. The organisation of the auction was supported by Adam Zdrójkowski, the actor known from the TV series Rodzinka.pl, and the greatest interest was shown in the auction of 1 of 100 GOCC Golden Hearts, which ended with a sum of 3,700 euros.
Other items up for auction included a football autographed by the Polish national team, a golf ball signed by Adrian Meronek, a golf lesson with a PGA Professional coach, golf bags from Loriini, a padle match with Janina Ferlin, the head of the GOCC in Marbella, a visit to Malaga together with Magda Kokotkiewicz, a licensed guide, or a catamaran cruise.
The auctions are still open for bidding:
- a round of golf with Rafal Brzoska at the exclusive Old Course La Zagaleta,
- a ball autographed by Hubert Hurkacz,
- a sweatshirt autographed by Mariusz Czerkawski,
- a book autographed by Mariusz Czerkawski and a card with his autograph,
- A unique collector’s copy of the monograph Ewa Juszkiewicz 'Recent Paintings’ with a dedication by the artist,
- the DVD „Here and Now” autographed by Kabaret Smile,
- an autographed DVD „15 years of Kabaret Smile”.
The Costa del Sol GOCC finale was supported by Polish and local companies – the Martínez-Echevarría law firm was the main sponsor, VIP sponsors Agnes Inversiones, Sánchez Solicitors Abogados, The Majilis by Monika Woodley, and the Ukrainian-Polish shop Delis’es, Uno Sport’s Bar, the Polish bakery La Barra, CreateFilms.art and the magazine Hola Polacos were also involved in the event.
