Spain remains the country where Poles most often invest in flats and houses, and the sunny coast – Costa del Sol – is increasingly being identified by our compatriots as a safe haven. This year, Poles have already purchased 3,170 properties on the Iberian Peninsula, which is more than in the same period of 2024, according to the latest data from Registradores de España.
Poles are moving permanently to Spain to find not only sunshine, but also a safe haven in times of geopolitical uncertainty related to the war in Ukraine. The daily newspaper El Economista pointed out that it is our compatriots who are recording the largest increase in the Spanish property market among foreign buyers. In Bartłomiej Chudy’s article on Money.pl, Agnieszka Marciniak-Kostrzewa spoke, among other things, about:
- safety as a key factor in deciding to buy property on the Costa del Sol,
- Poles’ interest in cheaper houses and flats in Spain,
- the competitiveness of living on the Costa del Sol compared to Poland, including in terms of costs.
